"... Damnit!", Jian simply says as she dissapears, "Quite a nerve to say something like that, I give her that..."

He gets up, dusting himself off for a moment. He then looks at Jack, shaking his head abruptly.

"I won't join to check out the quarantine, I'll be heading back to our hide-out. I got a personal matter to attend shortly.", he says with an odd expression on his face, he personally can't tell how to feel. A bit concern, a bit anger but also some sadness is filling him.

He looks away to the side for a moment, thinking, but then looking back at Jack. "Yeah... personal matters it is. I'm sorry, but I really have to go.", he exclaims once again, then dashing out of the alley, back towards the hideout as fast as he can.

Dr. Atrium feels his heart sink to his feet when he sees the chamber filled with skeletons. He raise his hands getting ready for the fight that is about to start.

"You need to get back a little ways. If one of them gets by me, I can still get them before they get to you."

He then turns to the monsters and makes two small claws from the shadows. The moment they start charging at him he starts smashing them to bits. Some of them stab and swing at the claws but it doesn't do anything. More and more of the skeletons start to wake and charge him. As he is fighting, he can feel that he is still quite tired from fighting the giant monster earlier. He turns to Mitsuki.

"D-Do you know any spells to help me out? I am quite tired because I fought a giant monster earlier and I am not sure how much longer I can keep fighting."

"Jian"

Jack runs after Jian, barely grabbing Jian's shoulder after depleting his recovered strength.

"Jian, wait... You never told me who men back there were. It's all right, I already deduced who they are...Oh heavens be damned, I feel like such a sentimental old bastard, chasing you just so I could tell you this... I know what its like to be hunted. to look over your shoulder everyday, and sleep with one eye open every night...It changes you, Jian, and not for the better. It rips out a bit of your soul and leaves you with a cold feeling in your heart...but it hasn't...yet. You still got some hope in your eyes. You can go off and do whatever your going to do, but just promise me you'll try not to change"

Mitsuki stares at doc blankly for a while, zoning out a bit before she suddenly shakes her head. "Eahh. Yes. Wait- that's a no..." She remains in the hallway watching the doctor fight before she suddenly zones out again. At about this time atrium suddenly feels a sudden sense of dizziness wash over him. For a moment he feels like he is dreaming but then snaps out of it, only to find that he himself and the skeletons around him have fallen dormant. Neither of the two warring groups show any signs of agression. As he comes to himself a bit more he notices the skeletons have been put into a temporary coma, as they stand asleep before him. Two of them even as close that they could touch him, should they wake up. Far down the antechamber the doctor sees the Memory Eater, hunched over and clawing and biting at the air. He can feel the pressure the demon puts on him as it tries to pull the thoughts and memories of everything in the room and consume it bit by bit, making it hard for Atrium to concentrate. When he looks behind himself, Mitsuki has also fallen asleep, loosely leaning against the wall with small runes on it dispersing slowly and flying into the room. A timer on the spell.



RD stares at Hitomi, waiting for a responce and Hitomi stares at him. She gets up and moves a bit closer to him, looking him in the eyes. RD feels like he might have managed to get through to her- But then she simply giggles and crawls under the bed again, hiding amongst some pillows she abducted and put under the bed. Afterall, she has no idea what he just said to her, and likely doesn't care.

Doctor Atrium stares in amazement at the skeletons sleeping. He looks down at the demon then turns back to Mitsuki. He shakes her a bit but she shows no sign of waking. He sighs and walks down to the demon. Doc puts his hands in the air to show he doesn't have any weapons as he gets closer and closer to the demon. He stops a few feet from the demon, just in case it decides to attack him he will have room to strike. He gets down on one knee and his head down to show it respect.

"Excuse me sir. My lady and I wish to move across your home here and make it to the other side. We mean you no harm. I only attacked your skeletons because they were about to attack me. As I am sure you can sense, I am something less then demon but more then a human. With your approval, may we cross?" Doc speaks in a unwavering voice. He then raise his head and stares into the demons eyes. "We need to cross. If you don't approve my wish, then we will just force my way through. You can no stop us, our goal is too great to be stopped."

"An old keep sake, uh? Well couldn't we-" He began but then retracted his statement, as RD had already made his way back inside. Sharpe didn't have much experience with kids, he just kind of smiled and did what he could. He thinks that maybe in the future that day will come when he's a father, but that's a long way off, and he could be dead before that even happens. Such is the life of a Ronin. He walks back up inside the house, wondering what could be taking RD. The girl might not be complying, then again she doesn't understand anything they say, and for all he knows the girl probably completely ignored him, not that he knew if she was even awake or not. He just thought maybe she was tentatively listening.

He walks into the bedroom in time to see the young lass laugh and escape back under the bed. Sharpe can't help but chuckle.

"Heh, yeah she's kinda hard to get through to. We tried a few things, Jack thought he could even teach her common tongue, Air tried a language I'm only passingly familiar with. I'm thinking though maybe she could be taught how to sign, you know, how we used the military, but a bit stripped-down and more civilian." He gets down on his knees and peeks his head under the bed.

He realizes the girl wasn't even awake when he tried to talk to her, so he figures he might try his signing now. He signs sort of what he said before, but instead to come with them, albeit in a simple fashion. He hopes maybe THIS time, she'll respond and come out. He looks back up at RD when he thinks of something else that could work if this doesn't.

"We could always bring her out with candy or food or something. I would think Fairies like the same food we do."

RD had a deadpan face as he watched Hitomi begin to play, honestly he should've expected this, she was still a fairy after all, being in a human form was astounding enough, being able to understand the language? Preposterous. After mulling that thought over he cracked a smile and chuckles as Sharpe peeks under the bed and again garner her attention. Her playfulness and overall obliviousness to the seriousness of the situation lightened his spirits a bit, though it gave him no reason to rely on her, still he'd protect her for the Doc... "Heh... Gotta remember to slug that guy when i see him again. Part of me hopes he's in a bit of a bind as well without anyone to watch his back..." He regretted the thought a bit and frowned at the childishness of it. He wasn't usually like that... He hoped that thought wasn't seeping in from his other half. He tried to shake it off as Point-man turned his gaze to meet Richard's.

"Candy eh? Well I've got a bit in mah backpack. Lemme go grab some." RD walked downstairs to where he had left his luggage, it sat in a lonely corner, at least until he could find a better spot for it. Everything had been moving relatively quickly since he'd met up with this group, he hadn't had a chance to settle in yet... Or even ask if they were comfortable with him formally joining them. He began to sift though the bag for the treats, he'd handle all that later, for now they needed to get moving so they could locate the others hopefully before they got themselves in some kind of trouble. Grabbing several lollipops, one of which he stuck in his own mouth, he headed back up stairs and offered one both to Sharpe and Hitomi.

"No one can resist a good lolly. These are some of my personal faves!" He smirks; sweet things definitely help lighten the mood. "Now lets get going, the more time we waste here, the more likely they are to get into somethin'." Just from these recent events alone it was obvious to Richard that this group was involved in all kinds of crazy mess, who knows what could be going on with them at this very moment? He couldn't help but be a bit excited, finally a break from the mundane!

Jian, being halted by Jack simply looks him into the eyes.

"I got no needs to change yet, As it is still far from being as bad as it can get. Plus, I rarely lose sight of what lies ahead, I might get discouraged, but I always remember the goal or the objective in the meantime. No worries, I'll remain the man who I am"

Jian pats Jack's shoulder and starts running off again, heading back to the hideout. He is not sure why, but he feels like going back there as fast as possible is what he has to do. And he has to talk to "Ms. Keil", as she seems to be called. He doesn't know anything about her but would like to know her business in the whole situation. She must have a connection, that's what he's thinking.

"...It's the yet part of that sentence that I'm worried about..."

Jack leisurely strolls towards central, expecting he'll be stopped along the way if it's not over. The usual amount of paranoid, spastically random questions.

"How couldn't I realize Ms. Keil was a magic wielder? What happened to that stalker girl? Is she following me right now? Where is everyone else or should I stop asking that and assume they're all dead?"

In a pathetic attempt to answer any of these question, Jack listened in, trying to hear that voice that had been claiming to be his brother. Silence, nothing but silence. It had been that way for a while now. It made Jack feel slightly unnerved for some reason.

RD and Sharpe continue to try and convince Hitomi, but she doesn't seem to aknowledge their interaction and completely ignores them. As she is handed the sweet, she looks at it making a funny face and then drops it back onto the ground and lies down next to it. Communication or not, she seems boreod, or tired.


Meanwhile Jian walks the usual way towards the southern district. It had only been a few times that he actually found himself in the northern district. It was too far away and usually too much of a hassle to justify the trip across the entire city. And at that point he realizes that central is still closed off. There is no convinient way to the southern district, unless he leave the city and travel around it, or pay a ferry and possibly hope to get a free ride.




Doc is left waiting for a moment, the thing infront of him entirely oblivious to his existence. For a moment at least, as it then suddenly snaps out of its self enduced trance and halts its feeding. For a brief moment the doc regains a sudden clarity of mind. He remembers walking into the chamber, andfending off skeletons, but suddenly feeling really sleepy. He remembers dreaming and then waking up and simply standing there mesmerized before finally getting a grip and continuing on. The Eater demon then suddenly shrieks and lunges itself towards him. Its frail limbs lashing out with ginormous claws as it attempts to skewer the Doc.

Doctor Atrium eyes widen in shock and slight fear when he realizes that he is in front of the demon. "I don't remember walking down into this chamber... Why the hell did i do that?!?!" He backs up a bit from the demon, and gasps when it charges. He narrowly dodges the monster, watching it quickly turn to charge him again. Doc brings his hands up to prepare his shadows but nothing happens. He tries to cast the spell again but still nothing.

"Wh-What?! Why can't I use my magic?!"

Doc glances down at his hands only to see that claws have taken their place. His heart sinks, he tries to change his hands back.....but he can't. He doesn't remember. He searches every inch of his mind, but it is blank. As if what he looked like before his transformation had been stolen from his mind... eaten... He quickly tosses his coat and scalpel belt aside, he doesn't want them to be harmed or tear... He looks up just in time to dodge the demon's second charge. As he recovers from his roll, Doc feels his arms getting longer and his torso narrowing a bit. He loses mass and weight in some places but gains muscle in his arms and legs. Atrium then turns his glance from his new body to the demon, who seems to be contemplating its next move as it eyes his sudden transformation. With this new body, he is much, much faster. He uses this speed to charge the demon.

Sharpe furrows his brow, annoyed at the fact that they can't get her out from under the bed. He shakes his head and looks at the lollipop.

"Why am I surprised, considering you ordered a sundae at the bar?" he says, stuffing the candy into his pocket. "Iunno about you but I'm not about to just drag her out. She seems content where she is, and she could probably keep herself safe. Just I know we get tailed by some freaky shit and I know she can't handle any of that. At least to my knowledge. We should probably get going. If she follows, she follows. I guess we could travel together as well.

He walks downstairs, running his hand along the staircase's wooden railing, the smooth lacquered surface feeling cold against his hand. He opens the door and looks outside, making sure nothing of immediate emergency is there, and he walks out, putting his hands behind his head, waiting for RD to get back down. He stands there, thinking to himself about what's happened up until then, reviewing what they'll be needing to do. In no particular order, he needs a refund, he needs to look into that other job, he needs to look into the murder, warn Jian, and in the process of finding Jian, look for the rest of the group, potentially including Doc. Long Laundry list, but nothing he can't do in a day, he's had to do more before. He pulls the lollipop out of his pocket and decides to put it in his mouth. He lets his tongue wrap itself around the pop a few times, then takes it out, looking at it. He grunts and sticks it back in, letting the stick hang out like a thin straw.

"Oi, Oi. I didn't order a Sundae per se, I ordered the sweetest thing they had... it just happened to be a sundae... A pretty good one too! My complements to the chef!" RD says with a big smile and a thumbs up towards Sharpe.

"But yeah you're right, doesn't look like she's gonna budge much and i don't want her extra mad at me for forcing her to come along... She's gonna have to stay here... Hopefully she'll just sleep and won't run off or get attacked." He frowns at the thought of anything happening to her while under his charge, but Point-man was right, the kind of things they were used to fighting is  no place for the inexperienced and it is always harder to fight when protecting another.

"Stay safe little one." He pats her upon the head before he leaves, Heading down the staircase, with his hands in his pockets, to see Point-man outside the door seemingly deep in thought as he sticks the lollipop in his mouth and grunts. "Heh you don't seem to mind my addiction to sweets much though ol' bud. They say candy is good food for thought yanno..." He says as he walks by the taller man, about-turning in front of him. "For now lets just do what we know, we don't really have any clues as to their whereabouts so lets report to the bounty board, get that outta the way and we can focus a bit more on what else we have to do, may even find some leads on the way."

He then turns back to the road leading towards that part of the city and starts on his way, "Remember to lock the house up or something! Catch up when you're done!" He doesn't have a key so he leaves that job to Sharpe, walking deliberately slow so he wouldn't get too far before Point-man caught up.

Jian decides to take the longer way around, as this might give him a chance to finish up some other errands on the way that he had in mind. The ferry would cost money if he would fail to come up with a proper argument or excuse to sneak past the ferry-fee. He sighs once, knowing this might be quite a long run, then starts jogging off in hope to not be too exhausted once he finally arrives.

The weather seems to be rather okay for this kind of decision aswell. He might be able to visit Ayame later, when his inner shock has settled a bit from all these random events that is. He also has to see Ms. Keil and ask some questions, he's very curious. But first, back to the hideout, with a still unknown reason to him. He just feels compelled to go there, he's having that inner sudden urge.

"I guess another unanswered question is who was that boy Ms. Keil was with...eh?"

Jack notices the check point still there and was fully aware what it was implying

"That cop that came this morning...he said the shit would be over soon, and yet it's not. probably was told to say if anyone asked about the quarantine."

Jack clenched his teeth.

"He was probably told to say that shit because it would cause less of a panic then spilling the truth that they don't have half a grip on this. Everyone just assumed that those 'elite soldiers' could handle...w-what I saw. Those poor 'elite' bastards are probably being ripped to shreds with what ever is left of them being picked up to be sent home to their kin in a box, and it's all because no one would listen to me. Dammit! I gotta find a way in....bribe?...too risky...what then..."

Jian makes his way to the main gate in the northern district. The city is flat on one side, with a lot of forest and plains on one side, and forest and mountains on the other. Basically a lot of forest. On his way there he jogs hastily past various streets and shops and people. Nobody seems to really catch his attention, and surprisingly, its a really nice day out in contrast to the events that have been happening around him. The sun is rather hot, but not uncomforterable, and a cool breeze comes from the sea, which only helps freshen the atmosphere. He continues jogging through the northern district, taking note of the buildings as he walks past them. Unlike the southern district, these are a lot more fancy. All of the northern district looks like the high-class district in the south, but isn't considered "High class". Before he knows it, he arrives at the main gate. Just like the others it has various guards patrolling the top of the wall and a few standing at the bottom, but generally nobody is paying much attention. It looks like a lot of the merchants that had only been here for the festival are either packing or leaving the city, as a small crowd has amassed in front of the gate. Jian slows to a walk, catching his breath a little. He's in good shape, but not used to all this running around as of late. He arrives at the gate and nobody stops him on the way out, of course, and is now faced with various paths branching off. One path leads directly south, along the wall of the city, with only a few hills and a bit of forest obstructing his way, a pretty straight forward path. Another leads up into the mountains, where he can see a small farm or maybe even a village a few hours down the plains. And to his right is another path leading past some old parts of the city, which are most likely abandoned by now. If his memory serves him right, that area used to be part of the founding city, but fell prey to poor maintenence and the weather.




Suddenly with quite some speed, Atrium launches himself at the demon. It reacts somewhat quickly but still manages to get scathed by him as it dodges out of the way. Its not very fast, and lets out a small screetch of furstration as it tries to jump at the Doc but misses by quite a distance, landing between Atrium and Mitsuki. It's clearly in pain, trying to decide whether to continue to after its foe or  make a haste leave. Atrium sees it stare back and forth between the Doc and Mitsuki as it suddenly lunges again, but this time towards Mitsuki and the entrance to the antechamber.

Sharpe looks at him a bit confused, then he pats himself down and finds he has the keys... all of the keys. He must not have remembered to even distribute them. He looks at the door, and back at the keys and weighs his options. He could lock it and it would be secure, but then nobody else has the keys at all except him. He could always hide a key nearby though. He walks over to the door and takes a key from the chain, sliding it under the outside doormat. He replaces the key in a secure pocket in his pants, and powers into a stride to catch up with RD.

He slows his own stride a little to match RD's and he glances at him.

"So currently, what's your take on our little party? Just curious, want to see how you're gauging us. I know some people might be leaving a more bitter impression than others. Barring me and the Doc also, since you know us already." He asks casually. He might as well to tide them over as they walk to the bounty board.

Atrium's eyes widen when he sees the monster running towards Mitsuki. He dashes and quickly gets next to the monster and tackles it, sending it into the skeletons that were just standing there, their bones collapse on to the demon.
Atrium then runs to Mitsuki and looks at her. He sighs in relief when he sees that she is still sleeping and is alright. He picks her up with one of his hands and puts her on his back. He then walks to where he left his stuff. He tucks the belt into the coat and puts the coat on Mitsuki. He then starts running down the hall across the demons chamber and tries to get as far as he can from the demon. As he runs, he can't help but wonder when she will wake and what she will remember.

"Hmm..." RD starts to align his thoughts about he other members of the group, also considering that it should be done in a way that wouldn't alert unseen eyes. Adjusting the lollipop a bit in his mouth as he does so.

"Ya'll are either really close or have some serious trust issues with one another..." Looking slightly skyward as he says it. "I get the feeling there's a lot of secrets and things left unsaid between all of you. You trust each other, anyone could tell just by your mannerisms around each other, but from a 3rd person's perspective you're all close and distant at the same time if that makes any sense." He glances over at Sharpe, now locking eyes with him somewhat. "I mean for example i'm sure they had something urgent to leave for, but why not leave a note or something? and honestly why would Doc take off without giving anyone a heads up or asking for assistance, especially if it involved someone you all decided to help take care of?" He sighs a bit, a few frustrations were clearly coming to a head as he voiced his concerns.  "But that's just my opinion on ya'll as a group. I understand everyone has their secrets but there's not enough trust. Not a good sign, spells trouble if ya'll get wrapped up in some hairy situation... As for individually? They seem like some pretty good people for the most part.

At that he gives himself a moment to think of everyone's little quirks, he hasn't had much time to actually interact with them now that he's had a chance to think about it. Just the brief time he spent during introductions, adjusting the lollipop back and forth in his mouth all the while. "Hmm. Lemme start with Jack I guess. He's a rather interesting chap." Richard says as he glances back towards Sharpe. "I'm guessing you know as much about that surprise he performs as I do; I've never seen anything quite like it before, and as a 'wanderer' in your own right you know I've seen A LOT. So honestly he intrigues me. Seems he has a few bad habits though. Talking to yourself is one thing, hell even i do it sometimes, but he's gotta drop that eavesdropping habit... then again considering his past i guess i could see why he'd feel the need to be nosy around people he doesn't know too well. Must've been hard for him, I feel like he was more relaxed last time we met... He seems a bit out of sorts now, may even be suffering from some serious paranoia, even if its a good thing sometimes, forgone expectations can get in the way of the truth and end up distancing you from possible allies. He seems to have picked up on that a bit when we... 'chatted' earlier..." He refers to his earlier 'discussion' with Jack with a slight grin.

RD focuses back on the road. "Next would be Jian, right? Yeah Jian... I dunno what to think about him really, we haven't really spoken or anything other than discussing what he should do with his heirloom to make it last and not hurt himself wielding it. He doesn't seem too bad, and i honestly have a hard time believing he's in anyway an unjust person... he's timid, but more because he's afraid of getting harmed rather than plotting and scheming. I can't help but feel like he was avoiding me at first..." He pauses; thinking about his condition. That may have been the reason for the initial evasion, "Then again i'd understand." he muttered more to himself rather than Sharpe, instantly returning to the conversation after the slight pause.  "... but with all the new light on his overall situation... He may be hiding something rather interestin'... We'll see but, we'd have to find him first right? Here's hoping he's doing just fine."

Richard then whips the lollipop out of his mouth with a slight 'pop' and stylishly twirls it around his fingers, holding it between this pointer and thumb when done with the display.

"Then there's Airgetlam!" He says with a rather devilish grin, trying to get a bit of a playful rise out of Point-man "The stunning Air... Heh heh... Easy there Point-man, I'm just joshin'." He chuckles a bit at the other man's expense. He then pops the lollipop back in his mouth, satisfied with the spectacle he made. "She seems rather sweet. Not the lolly, Air i mean. In a good way... i mean... wait. Gah." He grins again, still joking around and trying to lighten the mood. "Seriously though, what i mean is she's nice. Very nice. A bit too nice honestly. I guess being so shy really helps in her line of work huh? I find it kinda' hard to imagine her doing that kind of thing. You've only spoken about her a couple of times, ya mentioned her during the op we did together and you merely told me she's shy now. So other than that brief 'greeting' we shared i can't say much more about her, though i'll admit that i'm interested in hearing more about her origins, as well as yours Point-man."

He then folds his arms in thought as he continues to walk forward. "As for Hitomi... Eh... Honestly? I think its a bad idea to keep it around. That's just asking for trouble. I'm not sure if ya'll are trying to domesticate it or something but even if it doesn't mean it, it's definitely a danger." He then shifts his head towards one of his shoulders, "...On the other hand, i'll admit it's got charm. It's cute. Despite what I've said, i find that even i feel a need to protect it, then again i don't mind kids to much and even though i know what it is, it looks and acts far too much like a child for me to just shun it. Hopefully having it around won't serve to harm ya'll later."

RD readjusts his head and then turns towards Sharpe. "As for Clarent, we haven't met per se'. From what you've told me, a damsel in distress comes to mind, and not much else. Very nice of ya'll to save her and help her recover though. Its exactly why i said you're all good people... Good, nosy people... Ya'll remind me... of me! Just yanno... not as charming." He puffs his chest out and chuckles a bit as he notes the Bounty Board approaching in the distance, noting that once he gets going he can chat for AWHILE.

"Heh, you just ask me stuff like this cuz it makes the trip seem a bit quicker huh Point-Man?"

Jian, taking a moment to catch his breath after the jog, looks around for a moment, taking in what he's seeing. "Been a while since I was here, and it was very rare of ana occasion aswell when I ended up here...", he says calmy, taking a deep breath.

He gets ready afterwards again, continueing to jog, making him realize that he actually is quite thirsty by now. That gives him another reason to go back. Jogging along he can't help but feel relief, the environment around him seems calm and nice. But once again, every break seems to hold something ready for him, so his calm feeling doesn't last too long and fills him with being more uneasy as he goes.

That makes him think about the encounter in the tunnels. How did he know about him being there, moreso, how did they find out about that system. The entrances seem rather hidden and usually non-locals never find access to it. Maybe he was followed the whole time without knowing, or maybe... just maybe... someone that he had recent contact to gives away his last seen location. He can't really trust anyone at this point. Maybe somebody keeps giving away his position, then planning to just let him get away barely to make him be so stressed that he just succumbs to it in the most painful way to go in such a circumstance.

Regardless of that, he's heading back for now, which he should focus fully on in the first place. He keeps checking his surroundings as he goes, to not be caught up off guard.

Atrium runs for quite a while, coming to the end of the corridor, and eventually rounding about a few corners. He doesn't really have any idea of where he is going, but eventually he comes into a wide but shallow room, with a break in the wall where the wall has collapsed inward. This must be the place Mitsuki was referring to previously. "Great job, Doctor." she says, still hanging off his shoulder and back, with her arms propped against him and her head resting on it. She leaves out a small playful chuckle and waves her previously hidden cat tail across his face. "I'm not exactly sure what even just happened, but given that and the fact that you were running all this time, I believe we're safe for now."
Mitsuki wiggles a bit to get free of him and lowers herself onto the floor, taking a moment to hold his hand and examine it. It's already starting to turn back into the hand of a human, but at a slow pace. "This is extraordinary. Most people don't have the capacity to change back... but you're somehow different." she says and lets go of his hand, turning to inspect the room. "Looks like we're at the sewer. Its a pretty straight forward way... we go... hm... to the left, then take a right, and then go straight until we reach a wooden door. That should be the entrance to their hideout. I'm hoping you'll have turned back into a human fully by then." she says and looks back at Atrium, his features still exaggerated, but somewhat human.




RD and Sharpe arrive at the militia stand once more. The place isn't so full anymore, and there are generally less people in the market now in comparison to earlier this morning. It's about noon by now and there are only two people standing at the bounty board. The rude attendant from earlier, with the more forthcoming one absent, and a noble looking to post a notice. A lot of the older jobs seem to have been taken, or removed.





Jian jogs down the path alongside the wall. It's a lot more peaceful here than in the city. Surprising what some walls can do to create a contrast between city and wilderness. As he makes his way along the path he spies a young girl walking alongside the path, coming his way. She doesn't seem to have noticed him yet and is simply walking forward minding her own business. She has some adventuring attire on and basic climbing gear, as well as some large unidentifiable object wrapped in cloth slung across her back.

Atrium lets Mitsuki slide off his back. He listens to what she says. "Most people don't change back? What makes me so different?" After a few minutes of walking, Atrium's torso is back to normal, his arms are almost back to normal length and he is able to speak again though is voice is a lot deep then it normally is.

"May I have my coat back?" He reaches out and puts his coat and belt on. He then looks back at Mitsuki. "I-I am new at being...this different from people. You are so good at changing back and forward...How do you do it? Is changing supposed to hurt as much as it does?"

Doc sighs in pain as the final touches happen returning him to normal. Then walk for a ways and sure enough they come across the wooden door. He stops, then looks over at Mitsuki.

"This is it? Do you we need a password to enter this shady place? I don't want to walk in there then get attacked for trespassing..."

Sharpe nods at what He's saying, locking eyes with RD everyone once in a while when me makes a serious remark, other times looking away into the distance, but still listening very intently. Oft times, he's actually fixating on something non-moving in the distance to let what RD is saying soak in.

As soon as he gets to Airgetlam he starts to chuckle, then outright laugh as RD makes a light-hearted quip and stutter about how kind she is. He can't help but grin there as the guy humorously and purposefully fumbles his words. He does nod a bit, but something about what he says about her seems off... like he's saying she might use it to her advantage, putting on a face... then again, she might actually do that. He hasn't really seen her do a "solo" job in the sense that she works her own little magic to get things. But still, it makes it sound like she betrays people, or tricks them when in fact she really doesn't. Admittedly, it's hard to find people of extremely kind hearts in that trade, but not impossible.

"Yeah, I kinda do like people to talk to pass the time, but at least it's an efficient use of time." Sharpe retorts when RD gets to the topic of himself rambling.

"I got a good gauge on what you were thinking. That's what I wanted, and before we knew it we were at our destination. I'll give you my take on the way to wherever we go next. Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go get my refund." He says and tips his hat to RD. He proceeds inside the Militia tent.

He looks about and sees it looks a lot lazier now, since the morning passed which is normally the busy hours he can imagine. People want to get their head in the game early, get their intel at sunrise so they get the whole day to do what they need to. Anybody who works hard and studiously would. He walks up to the main administrative desk and puts the bill of contract and the token on the table.

"Hey, sorry I'm back. My contract seems to have defaulted. Though, there might be a bigger deal going on, I found a man dead in the room and this woman who I assumed to have been the contractor to have up and left right out the window. This was at the location of the contractor, in the 3rd room on the left I believe. I figured you guys could handle the homicide, but the issue might still be quite relevant to me and some compatriots of mine, so I'd like to stay clued in if possible." He says.

Keeping a steady pace, he jogs along, nothing out of ordinary is going on. The weather still seemingly nice and clear, he keeps looking around as he goes. Even though it might seem peaceful, he can't let loose quite yet. After another good bit he takes a short break, catching his breath again, wiping his forehead a little as he begins to be exhausted and also quite dehydrated.

He calms a little and moves on, seeing the girl approach him as he now walks towards her instead of jogging. As he's not the type to randomly engage conversations with strangers though, he decides to simply walk past with a nice and warm hello, unsure of her acknowledging it or not, just to be polite. He usually is the kind of person who takes a good impression serious, even with strangers, who knows where one will see them again, if at all.

The frustration of devising a plan to sneak past the check point made Jack's blood boil. Leaned up against a wall, he realized something was off. It wasn't noticeable to the naked eye, but it felt as though his left eyebrow had moved 0.75 centimeters up and his right hand pinky felt sharp. Sharpe as a butter knife, but sharp none the less. His took a deep breath, and the small details went away. They were a somewhat cruel reminder taunting him as he was no where close to reaching his true power whatever that could be.

"Your getting stronger, I see"

"Yeah, do you think I can take on those monsters?"

"no..."

"b-but...what about all those soldiers"

"An infinitely larger death toll will rise unless you listen to what I say, so go home and don't look back."

Jack didn't question any further.
