"You mentioned your contract was voided, did you bring the paper back with the signature and your Token?" the man asks and leans against the low desk in front of him. "Tch. Bloody murder. People these days trying to waste the militias precious time with false postings. You'd think the fee would be enough to deterr them, right? But instead, now, I gotta do a bunch of paper work." the man complains casually.
Jian and the girl walk past one another. Jian greets her but she simply ignores him and moves on.
The walk continues. Jian now realizes just how wide the city is, something he hadn't really considered before. He seemed to be about halfway there, despite that healthy bit of jogging and a good bit of walking thereafter.
Mitsuki either ignored or hadn't hat the time, mentally, to answer Doc's question. The two arrive at the door and she ponders at his question. "Hmm. I can't say I recall such a thing. I don't believe I had to use one the only time I've ever been here before. But then... I was in company, and not quite myself." she says. She nods and then decides to knock at the door, after taking a step backwards. Atrium watches the door for a moment and then directs his attention back to Mitsuki- Who is suddenly gone. Until he looks down and finds a little white cat sitting on the ground, grooming itself.
Nothing happens.
"Try knocking again-" Mitsuki suggests, but then the door opens, just enough for a man to look through. He's unshaven and stinks of alcohol and dirt, not the first thing one wants to notice when starting a conversation. He frowns at the Doctor and looks up and down the guy, trying to analyze him. "The hell' you supposed to be?" he asks in a rude and loud tone. "Whats yer' business, how'd ya find this place?" he ask and opens the door a bit more to look past Atrium into the hallway. "You a new guy? Or Tosh sent'cha?" he asks, seeming all to protective of the entrance. With good reason, given the kind of place this is.
