Sharpe nods at RD and takes the sword, bowing with his hands out, taking the sheath by a secluded spot between the tie and the hilt, and another lower down the sheath, and he replaces it on his hip frogg. He walks out with his right arm parallel to his side and his left resting on the hilt of his sword, as usual. He pulls out the piece of paper regarding the escort mission and looks at RD.

"We're going to that weirdly-named inn that's in town, the Eman Ytirucsbo inn. I have no idea who came up with that, pretty imaginative though, likely. Anyway, it says that a couple needs an escort to a neighboring town outside the city, but the road to the place  has become marked with a large bandit presence. So our orders are to get them there safely, as is typical of an Escort. Details are likely to be given out by the client." He says sternly, and looks back up at RD from reading the paper.

"Well, you ready to go earn some cash? I really hope you are. Anyway, so I just figured, you haven't exactly shed any light on what you've been doing. We've only just met up a few hours ago and you make me tell all the stories, and you haven't said a single peep about yourself! Rather rude of a friend to do that, man!" He smiles and without any force punches the lean warrior's arm. They're almost about the same height, Sharpe having two more inches on him, but they might as well be the same.

"Say, find any jobs or loot that was good-paying? Maybe found a woman to swoon over but the call of the mysteries of the world made you leave? You gotta have something, RD, I know you do."

Airgetlam almost pulls her crossbow out, but then decides against it, not like she can do anything with it anyways since they've just gone roundabout the corner. She takes off down the docks to where they were headed. She looks up at the buildings, considering her options, but decides maybe she won't take the high ground this time, seeing as how she'll really have to keep a close eye on him and any extra time taken will allow him escape. She keeps running and slows down, crouching, peeking over the side to keep an eye on them. Who the hell is that anyway? What if he's some kind of assassin?!, She thinks to herself, but then from this new vantage point sees that The girl from earlier that seems to know their every move is in the boat, she can tell from her garb, but she doesn't have her hat, instead using a hood. She frowns a bit, thinking about the hat, which looked rather cool in her opinion. She hopes the girl didn't lose it. Still, she creeps along, a meter or so from the wall, and follows the now trio of boat riders. She looks ahead and considers her options, and finds that there is now a floodgate coming up that seems to help regulate the water intake into the canal. There appears a bridge and a catwalk up ahead, but it is guarded, and it appears she will have to sneak past them. She pulls out the stealth device just in case, but it looks like she might not even need it. She crouch-power walks behind some boxes, and watches as the guards pace back and forth, or look in different ways. They don't really seem to care about the catwalk, and there seems to be another booth where someone has clear sight of the catwalk, but he's not paying attention to it. She decides to take this chance and she keeps her head low, but with her cloak pulled around her, hood up, clutching the device in case she needs to quickly use it. She walks along the catwalk, keeping a very keen and concentrated eye on the guards and the booth, and makes it across without being spotted or heard. She looks on the ground and finds an empty beer bottle and she takes it in her other hand, ready to throw it for a distraction if they come her way. She keeps sneaking and she finds she won't have to use it, and makes it to an alleyway. She makes her way through the alley and looks around the corner and finds she's outside of their "definitely a person, stop them" range. She might just appear to be an apparition now, something she desires now. She keeps her original distance from the boat and follows them, just out of sight.

“Eman Ytirucsbo eh?” RD wonders if maybe the inn had a story behind its name, considering it was so odd, he wondered if they were even pronouncing it correctly. Sharpe explains the mission at hand, protect a traveling group from some bandits. Typical escort deal, RD shrugs a bit. Escorts could be hard depending on the route, as well as how much the people being escorted were worth, but he’d done them before so it was nothing new, he just hoped the folks weren’t snobbish or stuck up, he had a hard time protecting people with bad attitudes…

Just as his thoughts started to shift back to the doc’s actions, Sharpe playfully nudged him asking for few epics to pass the time. RD lightly chuckled, “Well I guess that’s fair; I did enjoy yours after all… Where to begin…”

He told Sharpe of a few of his misadventures, tales of fights with monsters and strange fairy constructs, showdowns with rouge mages and necromancers, He explained where a few of his visible cuts and scars had come from, and why his cape was so torn. He told stories of lost technology and deep caverns that held treasures of a lost age. He explained a complicated relationship he had with a mysterious mute lady he had met during his travels. How her fighting style reminded him of a flowing river, how she came and left like the tide, coming and going as she wished, never knowing how long she'd be around or when they’d meet again… He even told the story of a man in a big red overcoat named North who commanded legions of small fairies to make toys for children, he told many stories, some mirthful, others sad, some full of wonder and intrigue, but his last story seemed the most prevalent to this moment as it explained why he was here. He told many stories as they strolled towards their destination. RD was honestly surprised at how many he had gone through, though he still had more, he had only scratched the surface after all.

“… And that was how I saved Christmas…” He says with a raised eyebrow and an honest look on his face as he looks from Sharpe up in to the blue sky, arms folded as they usually were. “But as for why I’m here…” He huddled in a bit closer and whispered his next words, not wanting any passer-bys to hear what was said, “After that run in with those kidnappers who called themselves ‘scientists’ near Na'Hog I did a bit of follow-up as I usually do after my jobs and ran into a few loose ends. The materials they acquired for their experiments and some of the other tools they used were shipped in from around here in Recudor! Worse still while in Na'Hog I heard rumors of the same type of kidnappings happening here and some group that had returned with many of the kidnapped in tow.” He backed off a bit and returned to a regular speech tone “Seems you and your group handled that situation relatively well. Didn’t think there was a demon involved though. I’ve handled a lot of different threats, but that gives you a one-up on me point-man!” He nudges the taller man in the ribs lightly feeling very relieved and relaxed; his thoughts no longer too focused on the Doc, mind clear and prepared for the task at hand.

He spots their inn coming up and leans in once more “Like I said earlier though, those kidnappings may have roots even deeper than that, but we’ll handle that later.” He then stopped and turned about-face to Sharpe bowing and allowing the man to enter the building first; A big grin on his face, He never tired of doing that.

Jack agrees and Jian then goes through the groceries to see what he can cook up as a little dessert for the two. He looks at Jack, who seems to be busy with wiping the floor due to the blood that puddled there.

"Always wipe along the wood grain, it's easier. From what I am finding here, I could make another fruit salad... Or, when I still got some left, chocolate mousse... So what are you enjoying more? Or suggest something and I can see if I can make that"

Jian then lends Jack a hand with wiping the floor, wondering again.

"How do you still live with all that blood coming from you, now that I am thinking about it?", he then asks curiously, highly interested in what reason there could be for it.

Dr. Atrium has a quick shocked look on his face when Mitsuki changes back into a human. It still boggles his mind how fast she can do it, but before he can ask about it, there is a sudden slam behind him and the boat almost gets knocked over. He quickly looks to see what happened only to see the man from earlier sitting there is his hands over his head like he just won the raffle. Before Doc has a chance of even asking what just happened or how the man found him, he is being yelled at.

"I was wrong? The hell you going on about man? Who even are you and why did you fallow me?" Doc looks at Mitsuki then back at this man knowing he had seen her change. "You tell no one about her and what she can do, got it!?."

Doc takes a moment to calls himself before continuing on.

"Well. I guess you are coming now...who even are you? My name is Dr. Atrium. My friend here is named....I-I just realized I don't really know her name. For the longest time I have been calling her Mitsuki." He turns to her. "What is your name? I hope you didn't mind me calling you by something that isn't your name."

Lox, still slightly out of breath looked to the coated man. "A doctor huh? Nice to meet ya! I'm Lox...Lox Nilheim. Kind of an amateur inventor of sorts." He chuckles a bit nervously before continuing. "I followed you here because I have some questions for you...also to tell you that you were wrong about my runes...but mostly the questions!" Lox's eyes glanced behind them for a moment, scanning the area behind them as quickly and as efficiently as he can before turning back to the Doc. "I guess the most pressing question that should be fired off is...well...are you a wanted man? You have a bounty on your head or something?" Lox was referring to the woman he had caught a glimpse of in the chase, assuming she was a bounty hunter of some sort. He didn't see her following them anymore, though he was no professional so he couldn't be sure so just to be safe he pulled the inkwell from his bag and pulled the cork from the top. His seemingly paranoid searching had almost made him miss the fact that the cat he spotted earlier was now a...girl? He practically jumped at the surprise and sat still to observe the...cat girl? Not even a full day in the town and he was already feeling like he had bitten off more than he can chew. "So uh...do that happen a lot around here?" Lox points to the woman momentarily before returning to his previously self appointed task.

Lox continued drawing the rune, what looked to be a diamond shape, with the bottom corner forming into a tear drop shape. Just outside the left point of the diamond he drew his previously used fire rune, outside the right point he drew three wavy lines, and under the tear drop two wavy lines which ended in a spiral on their left sides. After he was done he corked the well and placed it back into his bag before nodding in approval at his little doodles, though a short sigh followed after looking at his ink stained finger. He was really starting to regret coming up short on the price for that brush.

"It's only temporary bleeding, so I'm able to recover from it easily when change into my human form. I barely understand any of it, so I'd prefer as few questions as possible."

Jack cleaned up the blood twice as fast with Jian's help. The room was very empty.

"Well, I have nothing much to do now that everyone left, so how about I join you shopping for groceries?"

Mitsuki crosses her legs, sitting calmly despite the rapid change in motion and the sudden unannounced guest. She lets the two men do their discussing until Atrium asks for her name. "Mitsuki will do fine, Doctor." she says, vaguely hinting in her tone that she'd rather not discuss her origins. "I'm an anomoly, even amongst my own people." she explains to Lox calmly. "It is a pleasure to meet you Mr. Nilheim... hmmm."

Something catches Mitsuki's attention, as she looks about the calming surface of the water. She smirks a bit and directs her attention back at the other two, letting them continue their introduction of one another, undisturbed by Lox.

RD and Sharpe arrive at the Inn. It's just as the time Sharpe had rediscovered Airgetlam during the festival, if a bit more plagued by the stench of alcohol. Compared to the last Inn they stayed, this place was a lot more rougher around the edges. Funny what a small contrast between two places can do. The place is somewhat loud, but not so much that either RD or Sharpe have to yell to understand one another. The first thing Sharpe notices when opening the door is the difference in guests at the Inn that day. The corner is filled with rougher looking guys. A lot of them look somewhat foreign. One man in particular claims Sharpe's attention the moment he see's him.

The man is large as much as he is wide. Easily taller than either RD or Sharpe, and much more buff. And not the show-off kind of buff either. The man was surrounded by a more intelligent aura and something about him just seemed naturally intimidating to the both of them. The man doesn't recognize Sharpe and doesn't pay him much heed, but after a moment of pondering Sharpe recalls where he's seen the man. The guy was part of the small tournament held during the events at the festival. He had taken out every single on of his opponents, not just through pure strength but wit and fluid movement to back up his punches. He seems to recall the man from somewhere else but doesn't seem to be able to recall from where at first. Before they can even enter, a thin lanky guy dressed excessively in black and brown leather pushes past RD and Sharpe and makes his way to the far back to join the big guy and his colleagues.

"Don't stand there, come in!" the barkeep shouts at them with a big smile on his face. "Have a seat and enjoy some drinks."

    The two of them enter.

The boat continues to move gently through the waters along the wall of the central district. Airgetlam follows, unseen, just barely out of sight. The central district is a lot more unfamiliar than she remembers, but it comes to no surprise as she is no where near the route the group took last time when rescuing Ayame. She thinks back at the passing events and a shiver runs down her spine as she thinks of that mysterious man who stalked the group throughout the night. Neither of them have any idea where he went, or if he will even be a problem in the future, but something about him leaves Air thinking.

She is startled as a rustling in an alleyway behind her catches her attention and quickly presses up against the wall to peek around the corner. To her surprise she never heard the footsteps of the overly careful guards that are patrolling through the alleyways, likely too caught up in her thoughts and following the boat. The guards look a lot different from the last time they were here. They are armed a lot heavier, with rifles and guns and heavier armor, different to the standart issue vests the guard usually carries.

"These alleys are clear. Send word to the hospital camp. We secured the zone since the attack last night- Wait!"

One of the guards stops dead in his track and aims his gun at something Airgetlam can't make out from around the corner. "Freeze! Recudor Police!" the man barks and all Air can hear is the panting of a man as he tries to defend himself verbally. "Wait this is a mistake!" the man utters and scrambles to his feet, jutting around the corner and out of sight of the guards. "After him!" the man yells answered only by the heavy sound of boots scuffing across the ground as they pursue the man.
She recognizes this must be the Killsquad that was sent in last night for clean up and figures it would be best to avoid them. She takes a moment to look down the other side and her heart seems to stop for a brief moment, as two guards are standing at the edge of the wall, peeking over it. Neither of them see her, but the boat is long past them and threatening to leave her line of sight.

Sharpe shrugs and pats RD's shoulder as he walks into the bar, sitting on stool in front of the bar.

"We might as well get some drinks, barkeeps always have information on local stuff too." He says to RD. He looks up at the barkeep and nods.

"How ya doin'?" he says escalating his voice with each syllable except the last. "We're looking for a couple of folks here that put out an escort job to get to a nearby village, might they be in this inn, if not right in this room?" He asks.

He looks around, searching for the clients but without a physical description it's practically impossible. For all he knows they're escorting some lying thieves, or a mother and her shy child. He looks back at the big burly guy and the leather-clad skinny man, and hopes they aren't there for a similar reason. The big burly man though, he might seem intimidating, but something about him and the way he carries himself makes Sharpe think a bit more highly of the guy.

"This is where I met up with Air again, and also where we found out Jian was, well wanted" he whispers at the end, out of respect and discretion.

"I don't know how good their booze is, but I imagine it's not too bad."

Airgetlam quietly draws in a bit of air, and watches to make sure the coast is clear regarding the alley, and then checks back the guards at the wall. They seem to be unaware of her presence, but the fact that she's run into what seems to be that kill team has her on high alert. She will need to move fast but quietly, and she will need to take extra precaution not to run into them again. She can feel her adrenaline rising, but she can't exactly have that as it might make her prone to messing up. She takes a deep breath and keeps moving, silently moving down the street with a furtive eye on the boat. Again, still out of their radius of detection, but not far enough for her to lose them or not be able to make out any actions on board. This looks like the stealth device will be a primary tool here, and she definitely doesn't want to use her crossbow unless she has to. She checks a corner and ducks into the alleyway there and reloads the syringe bolts from earlier, but stows the crossbow for now, instead keeping the stealth device out like she had. She keeps a lookout on stuff on the ground she could use to divert attention. She keeps moving, and notes the boat commotion has died down a bit, though that is no excuse to ignore what's on land. She looks back every so often, her paranoia levels creeping up ever so slightly.

RD watches the over-dressed lanky man approach the table where a much bigger man sat. He was mildly aggrivated at the lanky man and yelled "Oi!" as he walked past him but the man ignored him and kept walking. Just as he was about to go and confront the man on his behavior despite being slightly intimidated by the bulkier man, Sharpe pats him on his shoulder and walks towards the bar, as if hinting that RD should just let the insult go. He imagines a scene of anarchy and carnage as he drags the overdressed fool across the bar, knocking over every drink along the way. Another man, upset that his outfit is now soaked in the golden brew launches a chair in RD's direction which he easily ducks and allows to bean another man in the back of his dome.

All hell breaking loose as a bar brawl breaks out; but, snapping back to reality, RD merely glares at the man and and his group before he takes a seat and says to the bartender "Hey man wassup, lemme get the sweetest stuff ya got, and do me ah solid, get some of yer best brew for mah pal ere'!" Lightly pounding the table as he says it, and gesturing towards Sharpe in regards to the second drink. As he listens to Sharpe refer more to Jian's wanted status he leans in and whispers "So you found out he was wanted here? You don't... recognize any of these people from when that happened do you...?" He looks around them, quickly surveying the bar, his attraction pulled yet again to the big man at the table with the lanky fool, for some reason he can't keep his eyes off them; "...Like maybe the big guy? You sure you haven't seen him before?"

As he glances back towards Sharpe the bartender slides a foamy golden brew in front of Point-man, and a pink and red mixture, topped with a cherry in front of RD. "What the... is this?" He sips the brew, sure enough, Its a Strawberry Sundae? "Well... wow! Never let it be said that this place doesn't have everything a man could want in a bar! Who suggested putting this on the menu?" The bartender mutters something about a 'cocky white haired demon hunter in a red coat' as he turned back to tending his bar.

Jian tilts his head massively hearing that.

"Buy... Groceries? Are you sure? Look at what's lying around here. It's food worth a week, if not longer, and you want to buy... more?", he simply say, shaking his head.

"I'll just make a fruit salad, easy to make, enjoyable and light.", he adds then, still shaking his head about Jack's question. He grabs the cutting board and a bigger knife, going through the fruit to see what he'll be taking. Strawberries, kiwis, grapes, melons and cherries will be cut in, even a few apples find their way onto the board to be sliced up one by one.

Jian, quickly being consumed by his element starts humming another tune again, just cutting along while sweetening the bowl of so-far cut up fruit to perfection. He then grabs a bit of cream to whip it up so has something to top it off with, with bowl in hand he begins whipping up said cream, looking at Jack.

"So... What were you thinking, asking that?", he then says humorously, still unsure of why Jack would ask such a silly question.

Dr. Atrium looks a bit sad after Mitsuki.

"I'm sorry. If it means anything, your normal among our ragtag team."

He gives her a quick hug. He lets her go when he hears Lox mention his bounty, he turn and glares at him.

"Yes, I am wanted...We all have things in our past that we regret. You going to try and cash me in for a quick buck? If so, you just jumped on the wrong boat."

"And a pleasure to meet you as well Ms. Mitsuki!" Lox smiles warmly to the woman, before his eyes returned to his runes for a moment, before into his brain popped a single word...Mitsukat. He chuckled to himself before muttering under his breath. "Aww man, shoulda said that, it would have killed" Okay maybe not the best choice of words since they were still being chased by an assassin woman, or so he assumed. His attention turning back to Doc he smirked a bit and shook his head. "Nah, I don't need the money..." He looked down at his ink stained finger for a moment and frowned slightly. "Er...Well I need answers more anyway. I only ask because I noticed you being tailed on my way to the boat."

Lox began searching around for the woman again, but to no avail. He couldn't see her following the trio, but the idea still put him on edge especially after hearing the screaming of the guards. Hearing the guards in the area screaming at an unseen man made Lox even more nervous, and decided he wasn't going to wait any further, the woman, and who knows how many others could already practically on top of them. Lox looked down at the runes he had painted, his eyes scanning over the ink to make sure he got every detail right before placing his left point finger in the middle of the rune, one wrong move and he could end up transforming the boat, or the water beneath. He made sure the finger he placed on the rune was his clean on before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. After a small moment the left point of the diamond was illuminated by a small hovering flame, the right point had a small bead of water hovering over it, and soon the two elements were moving to the center of the tear drop shape at the bottom of the diamond. Once the two elements combined, there was a slight spark, and then an enormous explosion of steam. Thankfully he was able to make sure the steam wasn't too hot, at most they would sweat a tiny bit, but the amount of steam he had managed to produce was enough to cover their trail through most of the remainder of the trip. With that he finally relaxed a bit and turned back to Doc and MISTuki...heh...he was on a roll. After chuckling a bit to himself he cleared his throat and took on a more serious look, trying to look as sane as possible as he explained. "Well, that should cover our tracks for a while, to be honest I'm just glad that didn't transform the boat into steam." He chuckled a bit once again as he leaned back a bit, preparing to enjoy the rest of their ride.

"Sorry Jian, your right. I just need some sort of excuse to get some fresh air."

Jack sits leisurely for a while before trying to make conversation.

"First you got that fancy armor, and now, your thinking of repairing your family sword, implying you plan on using it. I fully understand why. Sharpe and Richard are ex-mil, Air is an assassin, the doctor is a mercenary, at least I assume by that over sized scalpel he carries. Other than Clarent, you and I are the only civilians here. We're both sort of stuck here, and that has a high chance of putting us in danger. Also, I still think you should cover up the armor. It'll help throw enemies off gaurd, thinking you have no defenses leaving them open."

Airgetlam continues to trail the boat, trying not to attract any attention. The people on the boat are conversing, but neither their gestures nor their distant face expressions are enough to give away about what. She left the killsquad behind her a little while ago and continues to move past alleyways, every now and again stepping out from them to peek over the wall to where the boat is. Last she sees is the Doc moving over to the girl sitting on the boat but a fly buzzes past her ear, distracting her. Airgetlam waves her hand to get rid of the pests and focuses on the boat once more. Doc is sitting back in his place and the other man is fiddling around with some object. She can't quite make out what it is and even more flies seem to swarm around her. She then hears a rustling from behind her and spins around, worried one of the killsquad members found her despite being so careful but instead of an heavily armored guard she see's a... thing. The creature has human features but is incredibly pale, with shadows leaking out of its discoloured patches of flesh. Its head and shoulders fizzing as if they were on fire and a skeletal hand is reaching out for her. At first the horror startled her and her thoughts begin to race. Within mere moments she links the creature to be one of those they saw last time they were in the quarantined building. Before anything can happen though, the entire area is suddenly surrounded in thick smoke, leaving Airgetlam disoriented and coughing as she is caught in surprise.

Mitsuki cuckles to herself as the surrounding of the boat goes up in smoke. It's impossible to see outside of the smoke, but just as hard to see into the smoke. She estimates it will stay in the air for quite some time and while it will attract a lot of attention, though nobody will be able to spy upon the boat for a long while. Plenty time to dock and have a casual stroll to the gate. "I see, so you study runes?" she asks him and waves some smoke out of her face but otherwise being unmoved by it. "They are very uncommon here from what I can tell."

Sharpe listens to RD proposing that the big guy over yonder is one from the day when he found out about Jian, and he looks around further for any familiar faces, and he simply shakes his head.

"Nah, these guys don't really look like the ones I saw. The big guy over there was from the tournament they had. I believe he's a sort of Martial artist, dunno what his main armament is. I don't really tag him as being a threat."

He takes the beer slid in front of him and gulps in a bit of the stout. He furrows a brow at what RD got.

"One would think you'd just get a beer with a lot of wheat, guess the guy thought you'd do better without alcohol in ya."

He scans the room again for the clients, perhaps they'd look like they're prepared for travel.

"Look for people who'd be ready for a hike." he mentions to RD.

Airgetlam coughs and wheezes, drawing her shortsword and running in the opposite direction, as fast as she can to get away from the monstrosity. She jumps up as she runs so her head peaks over the wall enough that she can shout at Doc.

"Doc! It's Air! Help!" She yells to him, hoping he'll hear her and looks back to find the creature, or rather, mutated survivor shambling towards her due to the smoke, or perhaps as a normal walking speed. Whatever the case it's definitely hostile, and she'll probably have to kill it if it gets close, though she really hope she can just outrun it. Her yells will have probably attracted some unwanted attention, and she doesn't know if the thing could see through a cloak, so it's not wise to use it now unless she'd really really need to. For all she knows the thing is color blind or sees in another light spectrum. She keeps running but keeps the blade handy and close enough to strike if need be, and she continues to yell for Doc to stop the boat.

RD hears Sharpe mention only meeting the man at the tournament earlier, but still can't tear his eyes from the group at the table. "Heh. Yeah maybe you're right i get too much liqour in meh and i might do something crazy... Then again..."

Richard rises with his sundae and a spoon in hand. "I'll leave looking for the clients to you. These people... I gotta find out a bit more..." He walks over to the table the Lanky man and Big guy occupied and takes a pulls up a chair, kicking his feet up on their table to draw their attention. "Heh thought i recognized you from somewhere..." he speaks directly to the bigger man completely ignoring the smaller one, he wasn't that found of him already after getting bumped into earlier, "Weren't you after a certain someone? Some eastern kid right? Think i've got a bit of info on em'... i want a little something in return..." He raises an eyebrow and makes a gesture rubbing his pointer and thumb together in a common gesture that he wanted some coin in return.

"There's no need to cover up the armor, I look like a normal medic in the eastern ranks, nothing too fancy. People won't suspect a thing with me wearing it like this because the design's more robust as it looks. Everybody things this is just simple plating that was connected one by one. But I know there's more behind it, so people think this is just some generic light armor. Just letting them believe that I am an easy opponent with simple defense is good enough.", he elaborates, finishing up the cream that he whipped in shape. He is topping the fruit in the bowls with it, putting another cherry onto the cream. It is a pretty neat and cliché fruit salad one would find nearly everywhere.

"Well, I am done with the dessert, a fruitsalad as one finds it in a book", he exclaims, putting down a bowl in front of Jack before sitting down across of him.

"It's not a sword by the way. My blade's a simple dagger, not sure what you classify as a sword when you think that's one.", he then says with a slight laugh as Jack seems a bit off the tracks today. Jian takes the cherry off of the cream and eats it first, then testing the cream with some of the fruit to check how things turned out.

"Yep, seems proper, give it a try", he says to Jack, trying to make him eat a bite to lure feedback out of him.

Dr. Atrium is stunned at the sudden amount of steam.

"You're pretty good kid. You are much better with runes then I ever was."

After the brief moment of silents he hears the terrified screams of a girl...no, not just a girl, AIR! He wipes his head to the duration of voice. He can't see a thing do to all the steam.

"Lox, you have to clear this steam. Do you happen to have anything that you can shot? It sounded like she was far away. I can't do anything even if I could see her." He turns his head to Mitsuki. "Can you do anything? she needs our help."

Lox cocked an eyebrow at the doc's request, even through all the steam the look on his face easily portrayed that the gears in his brain were turning. He was trying his best not to let the pressure get to him the boat was drifting away from some apparently distressed damsel, he was wondering how the woman had managed to follow him through all of this, and how she would manage to get past the assassin that was chasing him, still unaware the two were one in the same. After a little while Lox smacked his forehead with his palm. "Right! Of course! Yeah I can clear some of this out." Once again reaching for his ink well Lox dipped his finger in, and this time began drawing a rune on his hand. It was one of the symbols he had just drawn to make the steam, two wavy lines, each ending in a spiral design that was mirrored to the other. He took a bit to draw this design on both of his palms before carefully placing the ink well back, making sure not to smudge either rune.

"Both of you are going to want to hit the deck." Lox gave them a minute to heed his advice before standing up on the boat, palms facing outward. After taking in a deep breath, and slowly exhaling, he clenched his eyes closed and focused as much of his energy into his palms as he could. After a small moment of what seemed like useless grimacing, his palms began to glow with a slight green tint. Soon after that an enormous blast of green spiraling winds began to shoot from each palm, and Lox began moving his palms around slowly, the blasts of wind clearing out the steam little by little until the blasts of wind eventually stopped. Lox fell to his hands and knees, and took a moment to catch his breath, the ink on his hands now completely gone. After a moment he began to rise back up, only to lazily collapse back onto his butt and look around at the steam, which was now about seventy five percent gone. Some of the steam still lingered about, but Lox simply shrugged and let out a small sigh as he spoke. "That should be good enough...that takes a lot more than I had assumed!" He chuckles a bit before pulling his back close to him, he wasn't sure if he would need his dagger, but it couldn't hurt to have it around.

Jack sit relaxed as he eats his fruit salad.

"The fruit salad is lovely. As for calling your knife a sword...well, when I was about 4 years old, I would play pretend with my father. We would pretend we were fearsome knights and he would call his knife 'the sharpest sword in all the lands'. It was one of my fondest memories of him. Only problem is that now I occasionally call knives swords on accident by instinct. It happens so rarely that no one seems to notice, and anyone who does doesn't bother to correct me. I guess it happened this time because I was thinking of him, and the reason I was thinking of him....it's be a damn long time since I've had a family...well not really a family...just...whatever the hell this is...this group...and I sort of like it...ya know what? I take back what I said about the fruit salad. It's not 'lovely'. It's the best damn fruit salad I've ever had the honor to put in my damn mouth."

Mitsuki gives a little shrug followed by a frown. "Unfortunately not right now..." she says but then ponders for a moment, seeming surprisingly calm for the situation. "Oh, I do. Hmmm. I suppose I will meet you guys at the north gate, good luck." As she speaks she begins drawing shapes and letters and symbols into the air, and as soon as she disperses them, sending each particle flying in all directions the Doctor and Lox suddenly fall through the ship, and water. They fall for a short while, somehow not getting wet in the least. Moments later they topple out of the wall of an alley, right next to Airgetlam. The smoke here is still relatively heavy, and its quite dark. Doc is the first to see the scrambling half shadow converge on Air, and Lox thereafter notices four more in the alleyway.

The small leatherclad guy stands up as RD puts his feet up. "Ey what do you think you're doing." he exclaims but is quickly stopped by the big guy who simply rests his massive hand on the guys back. "Calm, Yun, calm for business." the man has a smile that is both welcoming and threatening. The kind of facial expression worn by a man you wouldnt know to laugh with or flee from. Or maybe both.
He leans back himself and pulls up a pouch full of coin and lobs it onto the table. It lands in the middle with a thump, in view of everyone around the table. Both the guys are surrounded by a few other people, they seem like hired muscle, but none of them seem any more threatening than the lanky leather man. "You say you have information, but we already know he left the city. He fled to the woods and rumor is him and his group of thieves are moving on."
The smaller man then sits down and snaps at the bigger man. "Don't just give out information like that to other Mercs, don'cha know where we are?" he asks but is once again silenced by the big guy. "Calm I said, Yun. This is a good man, he only means fair business with us. Why not be a little forthcoming?"

Sharpe takes another shot at the beer, and he peers inside the glass after the gulp to view its consistency. Seeing its likely not an IPA, he puts it back down and looks up at RD to ask him something - only RD has already gotten up and seems to be making a ruckus with the guys in the corner. He gets up and strides over, putting his hand on RD's shoulder.

"Sorry to interrupt, but may I have a word, please?" he asks, suspicious. He pulls him far enough back, over to the bar and looks him straight in the eyes.

"The feth are you doin', man? What are you thinking going up to him and saying or asking for who knows what? I hope to God you were asking for the clients or something, because if you weren't, I hope you got a decent excuse." he says in a hushed, if harsh tone.
