Recudor: Party's House

Frazil rounds the turn that leads to the street the house is on, surprised and glad she still remembers the way. From the distance she can already make out Clarent who is laying out on a bench infront of the house.

As she gets closer to the house Clarent, who is laying on her back rubbing her eyes, lets out an audible sigh. She greets Frazil briefly but makes no moves to get off the bench... instead groaning at the thought of going back inside. Before Frazil enters the house Clarent explains a rather colorful event in which supposedly Hitomi had gone on a rampage of sorts, breaking pots and glasses and dishes while Jack had chased after her trying to get her to stop. However since Jian and Air returning to the house the place has been cleaned up and Hitomi dealt with.

Clearly still a little exhausted Clarent sits upright on the bench and crosses her legs, having said her piece.


Frazil enters the house in search for Jian who is sitting at the kitchen table working what he does best: Carving Charms and serving Tea.

Frazil waves to Clarent on her way in, rolling her eyes at yet another "Jack the clown" story. When she sees Jian at the table she pulls up a seat next to him and pulls out her sketch and the coins, making sure the journal stays hidden for the moment.

Jian! Just the person I wanted to see. I'm hoping you can help me out here. Captain Useless sent me over to the murdered detective's office... Nathan Tripsberry was his name. Mostly plain boring stuff there too except for this script on what looks like maybe a combination lock on his desk, and these coins. I know how homesick I am, so the coins you can have. I'm hoping you can read the script.

Jian, a little confused by Frazil being so approaching towards him, given that she was somewhat annoyed by his plan earlier, leans back for a moment hearing her out. Not only a bit out of it because of the coins, but because of the note, he then realizes what she tries to hint at. He squints a little, the symbols written small as is, he then eventually looks up at her, both hands firmly on the table.

"Elements. Gibberish and elements, but... Here's the thing...", his fingers pointing at the symbols, he starts to mentally flip them around with some movements from one symbol to another, "If I keep doing this, I can turn it around a little, a cryptic sentence could form. I personally think that... you see... Have you heard of Feng Shui before? Now, elements are tied to them a lot and there's quite some stuff that can mess up your luck. For example turned pianos, misadjusted clocks, a certain amount of broken vases, your most valuable item being gone without anything else vanishing. Stuff like that is a sign of your luck nearing the end and... If I look at this, I feel like someone is trying to do the same with this sentence! Either it's that, or he already ran into bad luck himself! You gotta watch yourself!"

His expression more than worried, he takes a look at his surroundings, then back at the note. He then points out the symbols which are refering to the elements, explaining each, yet being quite on edge after his theory being in the room like that.

After having stowed what little she brought with her, Air wanders over to the couch in the room and sits, making herself comfortable. She does not keep eye on the two, but she listens to what they converse of. Without turning she makes her presence known with a suggestion.

"Didn't Sharpe go to that man's office a few days ago? Came back with papers on some very strange things, stuff related to what happened in central? Didn't he hand those to Jericho and Doc afterward too? Maybe something written in them can help, keywords and such." She says and goes upstairs to their room, looking for the papers.

Frazil looks at Jian watching him work out this complicated puzzle. When he points out the 5 symbols representing elements she nods, then suggests, Umm... the guy's safe was a Wal-mart special. Pretty sure this isn't going to be that complicated. There are five slots on the desk, what if we just flip them to their elemental characters? Of course, if that IS the answer, it's the worst combination lock ever. Someone with even a smattering of Eastern would pass it in a heartbeat and I'd be surprised that one of the guards hasn't already. She shrugs.

You keep squinting at it like I might have missed something. We don't have to work it out here, I still have the permit... come look at the real thing.

"Wal-Mart...? What is--", shaking his head, dismissively waving the thought aside, he focuses back on the actual thing, "So... my Feng Shui theory might just be... a hoax? I feel kind of dumb now. Really dumb even."

The sigh following up, he would like to believe that it really isn't connected, but following his beliefs, he has a hard time remaining with leaving it at that. "Well... Sure, I mean, I can join and take a look at the actual thing, if you think I could be of help with that.", he adds, feeling awkward over his outburst.

Airgetlam zones out, seemingly have lost all interest in the on-goings of the house.

Jack is still no where to be found, presumably up in his room or out for a walk.

Frazil packs up the few things she had set out, and grabs her backpack with one hand, and Jian's wrist with the other. Come on. Quit being so shy all the time. She gives him about half a second to grab anything of his own before beginning to pull him gently towards the door. Clearly she wants his help, and it seems that she doesn't trust him to motivate himself to move, but she's not being so overbearing as to keep him from saying "no" if he really wants to.

He was to say something, or let off a bit of a sound in his surprise, but he just loosely grabs whatever he put onto the table, stuffing it into one of his pockets as he's dragged out of the room. He wouldn't be the kind to not offer help when required, so he lets her lead the way to where they need to go so he can have a look at this thing himself, then seeing if her suspicion about it being that simple is correct. Maybe, after all, there is no deeper meaning behind this odd safe of the person she speaks of.
