Jian follows RD as he's beckoned over to the others, waving at them with a nod. His hands quite full though, only his dagger in it's pouch, one hand holding the newly acquired dagger and the other one holding the case with the Woodcarving's kit.

He sets both down and sits down at the table, then taking the collapsable knife again to look at it a bit closer. "Hello there, taking a break I see.", him first looking at the group before the knife fetches his interest again. "Always a good idea to sit down and eat, I should consider having a bite soon aswell...", him saying that in a tone that clearly indicates his concentration on the item, he doesn't know how to reveal the blade, he was never told. He then finds the button though, pushes it and flinches at the blade just shooting out. "God damn that scared me.", he says in a reflex in his native tounge.
He nudges RD with his elbow another time, leaning in to him.

"Don't you want me to repay you for these items...?", he whispers to him, clearly a bit embarrassed with just getting them for free in the current state. "I could pay you back... you know."

The waiter returns moments later with Frazil's second meal, surprised at the additional guests that are now crowded around the small table. He places the meal on the table and asks if anyone else would like any drinks or further meals, also noting that the place normally doesn't allow food from the outside.

Airgetlam stares wide-eyed at the second plate of food Frazil has ordered.

"H-how much are you planning to eat even? Two? Three? Five? Eh, whatever, at least it doesn't get wasted."

Her attention then turns to Jack

"You really shouldn't hurry people up, its not healthy to eat too fast. If you need someone to move furniture, i'm willing to do some heavy lifting."

Suddenly Jian and RD seem to take a seat, RD with this strange kind of food, some though she recognizes.

"No Jericho or Doc?" she asks, not really hoping for an answer however. She looks up at the waiter and sticks her finger limply in the air near her face.

"Do you have any iced tea, please?"

Frazil finishes up her stir fry while waiting on her next plate. She responds to RD's question, and Airgetlam's, kindof at the same time.  As soon as I get another plate or two, I'll have gotten everything I need for the moment.

She then turns directly to Air. Back home, before I got locked in water, I usually needed to eat about twice what a baseline did, plus occasional snacks. I'm guessing it'll be similar here. But since I mostly missed breakfast I'm really hungry. I'm hoping the pasta will be more filling, but I wouldn't be surprised if I had to order a third. Again, you guys don't have to wait on me. I can make it back to the house.

Richard grins a bit to himself, amused at Jian's surprise and sure he'd just said some kind-of curse in his native tongue, before answering him, "Pay me back wheneva' ya' feel able ta' do so comfortably." He didn't want the man giving him everything he's got on him at the time, and had a feeling they'd be together for awhile... so there was no rush.

"A drink huh... Give me the sweetest stuff ya got!" He remarks in response to the waiter, before addressing Air's question. "Jericho, headed back ta the house. Seems he wanted ta get started examinin' those samples ASAP." He takes another taco, savoring each bite a bit as he tries his hardest to not wolf them down with the ferocity of the creature who shares the name.

As RD chews (Which he's honestly finding harder to remember to do) he listens to Frazil and looks over her a bit more carefully, taking note of the holsters and bracers, nodding slowly as he begins to understand what she means by 'having everything she needs at the moment'. "Yeah, i'm still a bit famished too honestly... think i might want somethin' fried or barbecued..." he glances at the finely dressed man, still awaiting everyone's orders, "Any suggestions my good man?"

Jian is a bit relieved that RD doesn't seem to be in a rush about the money, yet, also happy that he allows him to repay it in the first place. He usually is not the one that would feel like it's right to take something of this value without anything in return.

He then moves his attention to what Frazil says, being quite surprised at them apparently being in need to eat that much. For him, that might be another way to get to know her better, as he personally cooks a lot and with a passion. A person appreciating food is always a nice thing to him.

The waiter then interrupts his train of thought, inquiring about what everyone would like, him being thirsty, he asks about Water, nothing else.

"Take your time with eating, I am not in a rush myself. I also am not the kind of person to just wander off while others are eating, it's not very polite. Once one sits down, he should stay until everyone's done. But that might just be me", he then responds to Frazil after her stating that it'd be fine if everyone would wander off.

The waiter accepts various orders and gives out suggestions, as well as answer any questions the group may have asked.

After a while he returns with all the orders and drinks and the group continues to converse and finish their meals until everyone is done.

"I'll stay with you, make sure you don't end up getting into trouble.. though considering earlier it might be you looking after me..." Air says. Her eyes brighten a little as she lifts her head up to Frazil.

"I'm guessing baseline is just a normal person?"

She pays for her drink and begins to quench her thirst.

Jack gives a blank stare at his food. With the adrenaline from all the panic he was under finally wearing off, he finally realized that it has been years since he has socialized with this many people at once. His anxiety spiked like always as he desperately tired to devise a conversation topic that did not involve the possible end of the world.

"...an super human metabolism....uh, Frazil...if you don't mind me asking, what exactly are you? You used to consist entirely of water, you're referring to normal people as 'baseline'. Considering you're from another dimension, there is an infinitely small chance you could have the same...condition...as me. You might be getting to know this world, but in the mean time, you're going to need a place to stay, and that is almost defiantly going to be with us I assume, and so, we deserve to get to know you."

Ok, well. Uh yeah. Where to start? Frazil looks around the group that's for the most part taken her in hand without too much fuss. Yeah Sam, I guess you're correct. You do have a right to know more. Frazil takes a sip of her water and sets the now empty plate on the edge of the table to make it easy for the server to take it away.

The specifics are kind of a long story, and not really my field of expertise, but basically it goes like this. In my world, about 10 years ago, there was a space station that exploded showering the world with various forms of radiation. Shortly thereafter, people started exhibiting "powers".  Apparently the radiation in the atmosphere triggered a latent organ, or rather sub organ, as it's a part of the brain, that some humans possess called an M-R node. The node gives us the ability to control our surroundings on the quantum level. That control is theoretically unlimited, but tends to me limited by the person's own subconscious. Those of us that "erupted" have been referred to as Novas, and the ones that didn't are Baselines. So, I'm human, but with a mutation.

She notices that the server is on the way with a tray including her pasta and some of the others' orders, and quickly finishes off her water so she can get a refill easily. After the server spends some time at the table delivering orders and taking new ones, Frazil continues her explanation.

So yeah... no one really knows why a person's powers are selected the way they are, just that the subconscious controls a lot of it. As for my personal eruption, I fell out of a window on the 34th floor of a building, and landed in the decorative pool that occupied the side of the foundation. And by landed, I really mean, was caught by. The water literally rose up, broke my fall and landed me gently into the pool. Turns out my subconscious decided water should do what I want it to.

She begins eating her pasta, around her words, covering her mouth as she speaks to block the view, but unwilling to stop talking, nor eating.

The activation of the node causes a lot of changes in the physiology of a Nova, and the one downside to the mutation is some really unusual side effects. If a Nova pushes themselves, or their powers beyond their reasonable limits, the energy can backlash into us, and do some weird things. For example, one of the abilities that I had was the ability to actually become water for a short period of time. Unfortunately, I was put into a position where I had to stay that way for -way- longer than my system was ready for. The backlash caused me to be unable to turn back. Seems this world has taken both that ability, and that curse from me.

Richard's interest is pique'd as Frazil begins telling her story, he's always loved a good story during a meal, and he listens intently as she explains not only the event that caused her people to gain powers in the first place, but also the latent organ within them that allowed a chosen few to use it. "A station... in space...?" RD manages to say after finishing the 'dog' and beginning to feast on the burger. He attempts to imagine what one would look like as he continues his meal, but his imagination can't seem to wrap his mind around the concept before he presses the subject a bit more and even more questions begin to arise. In order to stay somewhat civil though, he saves the questions till the end of her explanation.

Towards the middle of her story, she pauses as the waiter reappears with their orders. Richard nearly pounces out of his seat to help the man hand out the dishes. RD takes both the fried chicken and the BBQ Ribs he ordered and places them down before the waiter sets down a greenish and blueish drink lined with what seemed to be salt around the edge of the glass and accentuated with a slice of lemon. Richard gives the man an intrigued stare before he refers to it as a martini. "Huh..." Richard remarks as he counts out what he owes, pays the man and takes his seat once again.

As he waits for Frazil to continue her story he begins to finish up whats left of burger and shifts both the plate of chicken and ribs to the center of the table, gesturing that the others were free to partake if they so wished, grabbing a piece of chicken and tearing one rib off to make sure he gets his share.

He hears a bit more from her, a grin appearing on his face as she tries to eat and speak at the same time, and nodding as she essentially explains the reason being made of flesh and bone is a bit foreign to her. He allows her and the others some time to partake of their meals before questioning her.

"I've got a few questions Frazil; Why exactly did your people need a space station? What happened to cause it to explode? And lastly... and you don't need to answer if this one is a bit too personal, but what exactly were you up to that caused you to come tumbling out of a building through a window?" His eyes narrow at the last question, as it was really the only one he really wanted to know, the other two merely stated to satisfy his own curiosity.

Jian, just scratching his head. Everyone seems to kind of understand what a space station is, no questions asked regarding it except for why it was used. He looks up for a moment... Space station. Just pondering on it a bit, then tilting his head, looking to the left, then right.

"Space station.", he says out loud, his brows shifting into a position and shape that make clear that he finds it weird saying it himself. "Space station.", he then repeats a bit later, his stare intensifying as it goes. He heard it somewhere before, but it clearly can't be anything he personally got to see before.

The waiter, interrupting his train of thought, hands him the water, which seems to not be charged. He takes a sip afterwards... "Mhhnnn", he starts while still drinking, then gasping a second, "Space station.", he says again, looking at the group with a flat face and an somewhat awkward pause. "W... What is such a thing?", him adding, clearly a bit embarrassed and very confused, "I mean I get the idea of your story, but that... what... what is it?"

He quickly finished his glass while asking in the meantime, so he pushes it aside a bit, looking at the woodcarving set while awaiting a response to his maybe quite embarrassing and awkward question.

Airgetlam cocks her head one way then the other, eyebrows furrowed.

"Maybe it's for science or protraction or something, it sounds like it should be."

She looks back at Frazil with a question.

"Do you think that's something exclusive to where you come from? This M-R Node? Maybe there are people here with it." She says, glancing at her arm, even though that likely is not the case.

 Well the space station... umm, is just that. A station in space. Frazil looks around at the group, and the city... swords and magic... Do they even know what space is? Hell is it even a thing here? If you don't know what space is... that's beyond my scope of explanation. As for why we had it, exploration mostly. We'd pretty much explored our entire planet, except for few exceptionally remote and difficult places to get to. Next step was reaching for the stars. I have no idea why it exploded.

She takes a sip of her water, and another bite, then addresses the two specific questions. Richard, I will be honest with you. I hope that gets me more brownie points than I lose telling you. I didn't so much fall out of the window, as off it. Before I joined Project Utopia and worked to better the planet, I was, basically, a spy for hire. I did a lot of corporate espionage. I was climbing the building and my gear failed. 


And Air, people here having the M-R node? I mean, it's possible, there's really no telling. However; without the specific mix of chemicals and radiation that was released into our atmosphere, I doubt it will ever matter, even if they did.

Richard sips his martini and nods in approval of it's taste before speaking, "...That's what i assumed it was, a station... in space. Space being the area the stars 'nd sun reside in, 'nd a station regarded as a place of military or public office which provides a service. Space - Station." He shrugs as if it wasn't the most absurd thing he's heard all day. "She said she's 'from another world, realm, or universe entirely' so havin' somethin' so far advanced seems within the realm of speculation. Hell its far more tame than a sentient being made of water, or wondering whether a similar event here would cause us to produce people with powers, or whether one already happened... considering almost anyone can use magic."

Seeing that no one else seems to be partaking in any of the food he left up for grabs, he takes another piece of chicken and bites into it; savoring the taste and flavor as RD lets what had just been said settle in for a moment before swallowing and continuing. "Espionage is a very integral way ta gather information, sometimes even th' most effective, and if ya say you were working ta 'better' yer world than i can at least assume you were doing what'cha believed in. Can't be faulted fer that." He says as he shrugs yet again and finishes off the wing. "Thanks fer the honestly tho', i appreciate it." He says as he gestures to the waiter, hoping to get something to bring the leftovers home in, as he feels the conversation beginning to wrap up.

"Where stars and the sun reside in... Wait. What?", his head falling back a bit in disbelief, "What do you mean? How could one reach up there? Isn't that where the gods hold their place at before they come down to earth? Did you see any gods of our realm?"

Him clearly blown away and unsure if that really is a thing, he is very intrigued. His personal beliefs making him think that gods and the likes, to him the only ones that would ever possibly reach up there, would come to earth once called.

"You will have to tell me more about that, I wonder what you got to see there. I mean... this is something that I always lived for to see. Just the imagination..."

His eyes sparkling like never before, he is excited to hear what Frazil would have to say about being up in "space", how they seem to call it. He packs up his things a bit and just leans on the table, his eyes beaming in curiousity.

The waiter returns, after Rich has managed to get his attention and quickly departs with whatever food the group has planned to pack and take home.
It doesn't take much time at all for him to return with a paper bag full of containers, ready to be taken home.

Airgetlam sips at her tea again as Frazil tries to explain what a space station is, and RD makes some sense of it, followed by Jian's own interpretation.

"Makes me wonder who in our world has the most potential with protraction..."

She finishes her drink and looks about.

"So... are we all finished regarding food?"

Jack couldn't contain himself and burst out in laughter.

"Bahaha, oh dear Aether! Frazil, how awkward it must to be one of two people not only in this conversation, but in the entire city who has heard of interplanetary space travel up until now. I would've like to mention it to others, but they would have just thought I was mad like when I tried explaining the concept of artificial intelligence to my father only for him to accuse me of stealing hashish."

Jack sighed before losing his grin

"This is why I've been trying to tell you about this world. Roughly 2000 years ago, our society was just as technologically advanced as yours. However, instead of getting showered with cancer-free radiation, we were given plagues, natural disasters, and hordes upon hordes of demonic creatures. Those who lived long enough to tell the tale believed it was a punishment from the heavens. Oh how I wish I lived in such a time where technology was so powerful that humanity had no dependence of magic, to travels to the farthest reaches of space, heaven or what ever else you wish to call it, where the sun is nothing more than a mere speck and the glow of the energy of the cosmos paints a canvas of black. It's a sad thought when you consider we lack the technology to even fly...air planes I'm certain you call them, but that's a silly name. A plane refers to a flat surface. They should be called mechanical bird vehicles, MBVs for short perhaps...gah, I'm losing myself in my train of thought."

Frazil goes quiet and focuses on finishing her food quickly, since the others seem to be waiting on her.

Richard grins a bit at Jian's interest in space travel, somewhat disappointed that he himself had no answers to give the young man beyond mere speculation and theory that he had heard here and there. "'Where gods hold their place at before they come down to earth...'" He repeated the line Jian had said wistfully, it had an enticing sound to it, even if his own personal thoughts on gods differed greatly; Reaching such a place would be mind-blowing, that's for sure.

The waiter returns with the packaged food, and RD nods in appreciation, Lifting the martini glass to him before finishing it off.  "Who knows..." He responds to Air immediately after, "... I'm sure if ya look into it though there are prodigies out there who could accomplish things we couldn't even dream of with the level of protraction we've seen so fa-"

He stops abruptly as Jack finds himself racked with laughter, to whom Richard turns his attention to with raised eyebrows. The man hadn't made a peep for most of the conversation, which Richard had assumed was because he too was trying to make his own conclusions as to the implications of Frazil's claims, but now he realized he was merely listening to get a grasp of how much ground the two worlds seemed to share. Richard listens rather intently, but the man's ravings don't do much but bring up even more questions.

"Ya seem pretty confident in that information, how do you have such an accurate idea of the time frame in which that series of cataclysms, or 'Ragnarok' as many people refer to it, happened? I've never heard of any texts or documents with such an accurate time-frame available... And artificial Intelligence? How would you be able to grasp that kind of concept at such a young age? Even flying and planes, or MBV's as you call them? You seem to possess a lot of info that's considered a grey area at best. Where exactly did you get it all?"

Richard shoots multiple questions at the man, wondering how a gypsy-turned scientist got such obscure info that even the highest of scientific minds had failed to grasp.

Airgetlam looks at Rd, despite bombarding Jack with counter after counter.

"Hey um, I know you're in the middle of something but do you have the bounty bill with a signature and amulet? I was thinking of getting that done and compensated."

After finishing her meal, Frazil drops another 10 Silver on the table, not sure if tipping is a thing here, but why not? She collects her backpack and reverts the block of ice to water, announcing I'm ready to move on whenever you guys are.

Richard pauses for a moment and stares at Air as if she had just said something absurd, then turns his gaze back to the table as his memory catches up. "Oh shoot... We didn't get a chance yesterday with all the crazy mess that was going on. Kinda just came home and dropped. Unfortunately I left it all back at the house. I'll have to run back and grab it. Might as well drop the food off while i'm there. If ya'll have anything else to do feel free to go on with out me, i'll get your cut to you when we meet up again.

Seemingly forgetting his inquiries towards jack for the moment, Richard quickly takes off back towards the house.

Jian noticing people getting ready, also decides to pack his newly aquired items away into his backpack and into the case, looking up at the group.
"So we seem to be going then, it seems? I am ready to head out aswell, if everyone's up and at 'em to continue on.", he then says, seeing RD having other matters at hand that seemed to be unfinished. Him not being involved in any of it though, he's deciding not to go with him, sticking to the main group, depending on what they're having in mind for the current moment.
