Winter Holiday Event 2015! - Art Contest

Hello and Welcome to the Winter Holiday Event 2015!

Starting this year we will have an annual Winter Holiday Event with varying contests. Given that our last Event was  an Art Contest in 2014 I figured we would do more of the same for this year.


Here are the Guidelines and Rules:
- The Contest will take place from today, the 7th of December, untill the 27th of December, giving you 20 days to complete your project.
- The submissions are not limited by any medium, Traditional, Digital, Animated, or Painted, but cannot come in form of a Short Story, as this is reserved for a future Event.
- The submissions have to be centered around the Holiday, in this case Christmas/Winter, etc.
- You may only submit a single piece, even if it comes in form of a comic.
- You cannot use any copyrighted content for your submission and no commissions.


The Rewards:
4th Place receives
- Your character as a little FF3-esq sprite to march along the top of the main page, alongside the 3 exsiting characters.

3rd Place receives
- Your character as little FF3-esq sprite to march along the top of the main page, alongside the 3 exsiting characters.
- A digital 3rd Place Winter Holiday Event 2015 badge under your Title.
- Your character as a sprite on the main Header, until the end of Story-Arc 1.


2nd Place receives
- Your character as little FF3-esq sprite to march along the top of the main page, alongside the 3 exsiting characters.
- A digital 2nd Place Winter Holiday Event 2015 badge under your Title.
- Your character as a sprite on the main Header, until the end of Story-Arc 1.
- A custom Title for the Forum.

1st Place receives
- Your character as little FF3-esq sprite to march along the top of the main page, alongside the 3 exsiting characters.
- A digital 1st Place Winter Holiday Event 2015 badge under your Title.
- Your character as a sprite on the main Header, until the end of Story-Arc 1.

- Artifact: Silver Pneuma Ring, This delicately designed ring is a wonder of modern protraction and science. Found on the skeletal remains of an unknown magician deep inside a tomb, this ring is said to have the power to summon the spirits of the deceased. While since not proven at the very least this ring seems to be able to create a small gust of wind, just strong enough to knock a person or animal over. The details and mechanics of this curious ancient relic leave many questions to be answerd but professionals say to be sure that the numbers in cow tippings will henceforth increase.
(Enables the wielder to fire a gust of wind to knock over an enemy and skip it's turn. Can only be used once per combat session. Unable to use on Large Creatures such as Rock Golems and Bears or any Flying Creature or Spirits.)

Drawing of Jack and Hitomi complete, i took some creative liberty on what Hitomi looked like. Hope everyone likes it.

4th Place: Genericface
All Judges agreed that while the theme was festive, it had no real relation to the RP. Regardless, due to the lack of contestants all five ruled in favor of handing out the 4th place prize to Genericface for their painted nails.

3rd Place: dthvader
Initially tied very closely with the second place winner the majority of judges have decided to ultimately place this piece third. The characters and style are great but ultimately were not festively themed, as stated required by the rules, causing this digital painting to win 3rd place.

2nd Place: Dr. Atrium
Well designed and animated. However due to the nature of the sources the judges felt unable to give this piece first place as the content is not technically original. Still, there is admiration to be had for the time and effort it must have taken to piece this together, ultimately landing the Flash Animation in 2nd place.

This original hand drawn image has captured the majority of judge's with ease, with its festive and welcoming theme. There is something to be said about a classic christmas dinner and the Judges defeinitely agree. With a majority vote of 5 against 1, this Traditional Sketch has easily made it into 1st place.
